Shannon Hammonds APRN, FNP-C
Shannon is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked caring for her community in this role since 2010. She is passionate about the care and well-being of her patients from birth to end of life. Trusting you know your body best, she actively listens to concerns and past experiences and is committed to working with you to find and address the root cause of illness. Her goal is to keep you and your family healthy, active and informed.
Shannon earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2006 and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2010. She has worked in primary care, emergency care, hospital and rehab care since 2010.
She is married to Mitchell and they have two children and three grandchildren: son Preston (firefighter/paramedic) and daughter Hannah (pursuing nursing career). Preston is married to Merritt and they have three children, Hattie Mae , Miles Cade and James Mitchell; You’re wondering about Mitch and Shannon’s grandparent names: Pappy and Happy
In 2019, Shannon was recognized as a leader in her region and awarded Outstanding Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the South Plains Nurse Practitioner Chapter.
